White Man March

I know it has been a few weeks, I think I have so overwhelmed by so much that is going on around me and around the world that my brain has had a hard time keeping up.

It could have also been my annual post holiday, I effing hate winter depression.

But, this one brought me out of my doldrums.

A call was put out by "The Power Rangers"  for a White Man March . The march took place in Florence, KY.

They hung signs that said "Diversity = White Genocide"

This was supposed to be the Caucasian Million Man March.

10 men showed up.

Oh and according to their web-site The Jews are behind the plot to destroy white people.

Recently I posted about the tedious Sean Hannity threatening to leave New York because the Governor said something he didn't like.

The Daily Show found some famous and not so famous New Yorkers and asked them what they thought about this serious issue.

Afghanistan: Last Jew Standing

This story amazes me:

There is only one person left in Afghanistan who is Jewish.

Maybe I'm naive or maybe I live in this rarefied world where things like this are not feasible to me but how can a nation have only one Jewish person?

There have been Jews in that part of the world since there have been Jews.  There is documentation that goes back more than 2000 years.

Zabulon Simintov owns a once thriving cafe and catering service but the new Afghanistan that The United States has spent billions of dollars on and gave thousands of lives to "save" has turned its back on it's Jewish population and has made life unsafe for them.

Is this what we intended to happen?  Is this the Afghanistan of Dick Cheney's dreams? (maybe it is)

Palin Says She is Not a Racist and More

The half term former Governor of Alaska who somehow thinks she has all the answers to the nations problems even though she has not done anything other than get rich over the last five years has made another "I am not a racist" racially charged comment.

The insufferably dumb Sister Sarah has compared the national debt to slavery because it is all the Black President's fault. Even though study after study has shown that the debt is always larger under Republican Presidents than it is under Democratic Presidents.


In other news she is opening her let's make money off of nothing tour in our community on Tuesday.  I am going to welcome her by doing the thing she hates.

I am going to ignore her!

It's all About Heart!

Welp!

While at the doctor today the nurse took a mighty long time checking my blood pressure and pulse – I did not think much of it because @ 8:30 on a Monday – perhaps she was just groggy

Because this is a teaching practice I always have to be checked out by a student.  He does all the usual things, ask the usual questions and then spend a great deal of time listening as  I breath heavy in and out much longer than the usual chest listening.

Then the Doctor comes in, the usual small talk and catching up and he does his listening thing and it takes much longer than usual.

He gets done - looks at the student and then back at me.

"Well Donald your heart sounds unusual - not that I am really concerned but I want to do an EKG on you before your flu shot."

"OK!  Dr. L what is going on?"

"Well your heartbeat is inconsistent - as one pulse leave the third valve another one should be entering like boom---boom---boom---boom---boom "  

"Uh huh"

"Well your heart is more like one of the every now and then one of the pulses is faster than the previous ones more like boom---boom---boom---boomboom---boom---boom---boom---boomboom---boom---boom" 

My mouth falls open

"So I'm going to send the nurse in with the coldest hands and get you set up  for the EKG and then we'll discuss from there"

A few minutes I am getting hooked up and tested and yes her hands were corpse cold.  It goes quickly she rips off the stickers and leaves the room.  

Dr. L. comes back in  "Yep it's what I thought your heart beat has gotten a little irregular not sure why but it does not seem serious but I want you to keep an eye on it.  Have you noticed any chest pains or tightness lately?"

"I have noticed but it just seemed like the same symptoms of my anxiety attacks"

"OK if it happens again and you use your calming techniques and exercises and you still have some discomfort it is your heart"  "If it happens a lot you call me right away and we will go to the next step but right now is is so moderate and mild I am not concerned - it could just be a change "  "Get your blood work done so we can check that angle"

I don't smoke and never have, I eat right, I walk more than I drive, I have maintained a consistent weight but I need to cut the Red Bulls and if I want a little pick me up have a cup of coffee it is less concentrated - I don't drink a lot of coffee and my Red Bull intake goes in spurts I can go days, weeks without one.

So there you have it in Dr. L. words - "It just looks like your heart loves you more than it used to"  "I am going to find a rusty needle and come back in with your flu shot"  "See you in 6 months"

American Opinions About Jews - I am a little shocked

It appears that old theories die hard , in a recent survey ordered by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) it appears that 26% of Americans believe that the Jewish people were responsible for the crucifixion and death of Jesus. Despite that fact religious scholars, historians, theologians and Popes have all said and proven the opposite.

Some other results of the survey may explain why more than a quarter of Americans believe this.

14% believe that Jews have to much power in the United States.  Maybe it's all those Jewish Presidents and Vice Presidents we've had.

19% believe Jews have too much power in the business world and 17% to much influence on Wall Street, 18% to much control over the media (except on Fox of course) and in a surprisingly small number only 24% believe that Jews run the movie and TV industry.  I am a little shocked by how small that number is.

But, this number does not surprise me at all; 30% of Americans believe that Jews are more loyal to Israel than to this country. Franklin Roosevelt in response to his Jewish advisers to react more swiftly to reports of the German concentration camps believed that the American people would not support using their boys to rescue the Jews.  When pressed further and harder the very patrician Roosevelt responded that this is a Protestant country and that Jews and in fact Catholics are more less just allowed to live here.  A pretty appalling sentiment. But, FDR was a man of his times and can't fairly be judged by our modern standards but that view is still very much held by many people. Keep in mind that we have had one Catholic President and we now have our first Catholic Vice President.

And, to build on that sentiment an appalling one-quarter of those polled believe that "Jews still talk too much about what happened to them in the Holocaust."  I have heard people say this and it never ceases to stop me in my tracks and at times has left me speechless, something that almost never happens.  I guess people would rather we forget about that icky business of 6,000,000 people slaughtered because of their faith.  Perhaps it is not so shocking after all there are Southern Republicans who are still fighting the Civil War and refer to it as the War of Northern Aggression & the wholesale massacre and dislocation of this continents native peoples is not even taught.

American Jews who support Israel are not anti-American or disloyal to their nation they, like me, believe that Israel is an ally that needs to be supported and supported in the strongest possible terms.  It is the only democracy in the region, they took a neglected region of rock & sand and transformed it into a nation with a thriving economy.  And, it is an historic homeland to people who have long lived in diaspora status.

Other interesting results of this poll 78% of think American Jews value their families but of course that means 22% of us think that they don't.

I just don't get it.

I have never understood the negative attitudes, the bigotry and the hatred that Jewish people have been forced to endure.  Of course when someone who does hold these feelings of hate tries to explain it to me I don't really give them much of chance to finish one of their idiotic utterances. I wave them off and walk away and shake my head in sadness and disgust.

The Deflowering of Mr. Pettet

Clayton Pettet will not be call this number he has a better idea

A 19 year old British art student giving up his preciousness  for his art.  Actually Clayton Pettet will be having full on sex on stage and giving up his "virginity" in front of an audience.

Young Mr. Pettet says he has been thinking since he was 16 about the best way to make this special moment even more special.  The art student and another unidentified young man with take to the stage and have sex until completion.

Mr. Pettet wants to question how society defines "virginity".  He says it means different things to people in his case he defines losing his virginity by becoming the receptive partner during anal intercourse.

The articles I have read about this have not disclosed a place, date or time.  I assuming that Clayton Pettet's official deflowering will take place in London.

"By a Tyrant, not a President" - These People are Insane

Extreme right wing former Congressman Allen West took to his facebook page to call the President of the United States a tyrant because Mr. Obama refused to cave into Teabagger threats to our nations financial and economic future.


Mr. West claims that the ACA (Affordable Care Act) is not the law of the land and it was forced on the nation "by a tyrant, not a President.

Of course the ACA was passed by both houses of Congress, signed into law by the President of the United States, so yes indeed it is the law.  When the law was challenged by such great legal minds as Gov. Tom Corbett of my home state all the way to the Supreme Court where the law was held as constitutional and thus it remained the law of the land.  I don't know if Mr. West was in a coma or on some really wild drugs during the past few years and missed all that but sorry crazy man but it is the law of the land.

And, then there was an election and one guy said keep the law and the other guy said get rid of the law. Perhaps someone forgot to tell the former Congressman but the guy who wanted to keep the law won pretty big.

The former Florida Congressman has been getting more and more vocal lately last week he called President Obama  a spoiled brat and pathological liar.  Perhaps he is looking for a gig on Glenn Beck's The Blaze dot com.  Or maybe he's just trying to be more coarse, more ridiculous and to cheapen the nation's political discourse more than Ann Coulter.

These folks are mad and I do not mean in an angry sort if way.

Michelle Bachman, Jesus and The Devil

Minnesota Republican Congresswoman Michelle Bachman is either a liar or just a lunatic but either way it is still appalling how much attention the main stream media pays attention to her.  All this attention does is fatten her wallet and encourages her.

Her statements and actions become more and more outrageous as she gets closer to the end of her final term in the Congress.  Now, she is accusing the President of The United States of funding terrorists.  Is her insanity so deep that she is confusing Barack Obama with Ronald Reagan, has her warped mind gone back in time?

But, fear not because she is not all that bothered by the news the Barack/Ronald Obama/Reagan is giving arms to terrorists because it is a sign that the end days are coming. Jesus is on his way back to town and he is pissed.

I hope Fox News or MSNBC has a camera focused on the well dressed yet crazy woman from Minnesota in case Jesus does return.

I imagine it going something like this.

Jesus takes one look at her, checks his tablet and says

"Oh no Girlfriend you are NOT coming with me, you are going to stay right here where you are"

She looks around confused and begins to speak but Jesus raises his hand and continues

"See all those Gay people over there; they have voted you off Revelation Island, I have discussed the issue with my father and even he is convinced that you are beyond redemption."

The Congresswoman falls to her knees and begins to pray but Jesus says

"Who exactly are you praying to, I am standing right here?"

There is a ruckus to his right and out of the black clouds walks Dick Cheney and he says "She was praying to me"

Jesus just shakes his head and says "Dick you are such a little devil, Where's Liz?"

Liz Cheney appears from the dark smoke reaches down and pulls Mrs. Bachman to her feet and says "I am taking you to the promise land" 

Michelle with tears in her eyes walks through the black clouds, when she arrives on the other side she sees a sign.

Adkins Diet Offends G-d - according Pastor & Grifter Robertson

Is there no one out there who can grab Rev.(Grifter) Robertson by the collar and tell him it is time to leave the stage?


Now the diamond mine owning Conservative Christian has declared that the Adkins low carb diet  violates G-d's principles.

He is completely off his rocker.  If this were happening to almost anyone else I would be saddened by seeing his slip into complete madness but this is Pat Robertson so I am not feeling much of anything other then further disgust.

Crazy talk: A lot from Bachman & A little from Dawkins

The crazy that is Michele Bachman  says "if we cry out to God" Hillary Clinton can be stopped from becoming President.


Michele Bachman is 9 months away from an indictment and 24 months away from prison.  So if she is going to cry out to to God maybe she should do it on behalf of her own ridiculous ass.

And 

Noted biologist and author Richard Dawkins "a little mild Pedophilia  does not cause lasting harm". This is a perfect example of smart people thinking that everything that comes out of their mouth is a pearl of wisdom.  Word of advice to Mr. Dawkins - use a filter - Think before speaking. 

Voter Fraud Exists - By Republican Leader's Child

The Republican's claim voter fraud  as their reason for making voting more difficult.  When we all know it is really voter suppression.

They can deny it but we know the truth.  Republican's know they can't win unless they keep traditional Democratic voters from voting.

When Republicans are pressed to prove that voter fraud is a problem they are unable to give precise examples but they claim it exists.

Finally evidence of voter fraud has been reported.

The New Hampshire Union Leader is reporting that they have discovered voter fraud.  Unfortunately for the GOP the voter fraud was committed by the son of the GOP Leader of the New Hampshire Senate. He voted in two states.  Granted this voter fraud happened in 2008 but it was voter fraud none the less.

Perhaps the GOP is on to something with this voter fraud thing.

Or maybe they should just be better parents and teach their children better ethics.

Trying To Make a Town All White

This is 2013 right?  And, people still think like this.

Paul Craig Cobb would like to turn a small town in North Dakota into and all white enclave.  Supporters of Mr. Cobb have been buying up tracks of land in the town and apparently are going to try to force the town to proclaim itself White only.

Of course, the courts, the state and federal government will not allow it but that does not seem to matter to the folks involved.  I'm sure they are hoping for a violent confrontation.

"In an interview with The New York Times, Cobb said he hoped his plans in Leith would "excite" white people and "give them confidence because we're being  deracinated  in our own country."

I wonder how many people of color actually live in Leith, North Dakota? 

 But, I suppose that is not really the point here is it?

Typical Republicans

This did not take long, two GOP Congressmen from South Carolina accuse the President of using Syria to hide/mask/cover up other things.  You know those "scandals" that are not scandals Benghazi, IRS and Obamcare.  Not sure when Obamacare became a scandal but then these are Republicans after all.

One of these pillars of Congress is Joe "You Lie" Wilson.


It's the same old song from the same old pathetic Republicans

Many of the same people who whined and complained about the President not including Congress in his Syria decision making are now complaining that he is including Congress.  None louder that the dumbest member of the Senate; Rand Paul.  His complaint is that by coming to Congress for a vote the President is reducing the role of Congress.



This may even surpass Sarah Palin and her stunning fits of brilliance.

If Only Hell Existed I Would Wish Pat Robertson There

“You know what they do in San Francisco? Some in the gay community there, they want to get people. So if they got the stuff they’ll have a ring, you shake hands and the ring’s got a little thing where you cut your finger,” he said. “Really. It’s that kind of vicious stuff, which would be the equivalent of murder.”

I was going to ignore this pronouncement  from "Leading" "Christian" "Intellectual" Rev. Pat Robertson but it is too disgusting, too stupid, too idiotic not to share.  

This web site  reports that the people who run Robertson's web site did not post the entire segment but rather a heavily edited version.

Sometimes I wished I believed in Hell just so I can wish Pat Robertson and his co-host Miss America 1973 Terry Meeuwsen would end up there.

Despicable Liz Cheney  has announced that:

“I do think that we know that recruitment goes on through mosques,”  

Liz was pandering to Teabaggers about where terrorists come from.  

She of course is supported in her opinion by no facts.

Do you think Liz is able to show me actual data to support her statement?

Of course not she is a Cheney.

But wait, she is a Cheney so she could find a way to prove it - even if it's a lie. 

And, we all know that they are above the law and beneath the truth.

Joe Miller - Still Handsome Still Crazy

Alaskan GOP Senate loser Joe Miller is back in the news.

Remember when he lost to a write in candidate even though the very powerful Sarah Palin supported him with are her heart and soul.

Oh now wait Sarah has no soul so no wonder he lost.

Anyway, he is back in it for another shot at the US Senate (remember when the Senate was a majority of dignified, thoughtful leaders) and he has not tempered his hate or his crazy. He is linking our President to...............THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD!

The thoughtful Mr. Miller has joined the other brilliant Republican statesmen Allen West and the Crown Prince of the crazy haters Louie Gohmert of Texas in pushing this story line.

I just wish I did not think Joe Miller was so handsome because then I could ignore him.

A Great Blog that Depresses Me

When I first learned about this blog I thought it would be fun.

So, I decided to spend a few minutes and scroll through it's many pages.

It is well written, it is clever and  I agree with it's point of view.

It is not fun.

It is not funny.

It makes me angry.

It is completely frustrating.

It is a great resource but it is totally depressing
