Here is Mitt Romney's crystal clear and firm stand on the
issue of a woman’s reproductive freedom.
1994 “I believe that abortion should be safe and legal in
this country.”
2001 “I do not wish to be labeled pro-choice.”
2002 “I will preserve and protect a woman’s right to choose.”
2007 “We should overturn Roe V. Wade.”
2011 “I will advocate for and support a Pain-Capable Unborn
Child Protection Act.”
2012 “There is no legislation with regards to abortion that
I’m familiar with that would become part of my agenda.”
2012 (his campaign clarifying the last statement) “Mitt
Romney is proudly pro-life, and will be a pro-life president.”
This is a man who wants to be President and yet he can’t
come up with a firm position about a very important issue to many women in this
country.
And, he is wondering why he is having a difficult time connecting with women voters.
Binders
ReplyDeleteHA! It turns out the Binder story was a complete lie - it never happened - Romney never asked for help in finding women for his team. A women's group presented both candidates for Governor with lists (binders) of competent women before the election as a protest.
